Celebrating people isn't optional, it's instinct. I'm inspired by my inability to "keep things simple." Motherhood didn't soften my love for events - it taught me that even the smallest details play the biggest role. Motherhood has taught me how to create beauty from chaos because let's be real, life with a toddler is rarely calm and perfectly styled.... However, I've always been the "extra" mom in the best way. Being in this stage of life just makes everything feel more meaningful. I see celebrations differently now—not just as events, but as memories in real time.
I was working 40 hours a week in Oil & Gas with a 10 month old actually enjoying life and planning his first birthday party when I wanted to rent soft play equipment. Instead of renting, I thought it would be a fun project investment to try out as a 'weekend only' gig (lol).
Sadly, all of the Soft Play equipment arrived one week after my son's party but our first booking was one week later for our largest package! After weeks of sharing the Soft Play journey and marketing on Instagram, the bookings quickly came trickling in.
Almost a year in business and I'm loving events so much I tackle a fully planned event for my son's 2nd birthday. The budget of this event eventually led to my son's Dad leaving me however this event is where my love for the entire planning process began and there's literally no regrets.
Lots of loss this month. I left my professional career to pursue my creative endeavors which ultimately led to the final straw in my separation from my son's Dad. We gave it our best shot but I was not going to give up something that gave me a sense of identity and purpose aside from being 'Mom'.
We sre officially rebranded as Ready 2 Roll Events and now are a one-stop-shop for all event related needs. What started originally as play equipment for toddlers has emerged into a passion for creating transformative memories for you and yours.
